Hill Farmstead Aaron

Aaron

This beer was quite a treat. It pours a light mahogany color. The nose is very strong toffee, caramel, molasses, and a little bit of vanilla. The taste was excellent, with a sweet vanilla taste mixed with toffee, and a little bit of maple syrup. It is incredibly balanced for a barleywine and the barrel characters make subdues the bourbon notes the perfect amount. Very little carbonation on this one. Definitely a top 5 barleywine for me, just behind King Henry and 2013 Bourbon County Barleywine (95/100).
