2013 Bourbon County Brand Stout

Spotted this beauty sitting on the shelves in NYC. Since I have only had this a few times since the release last year, figured I would pick up a bottle or two and give it a go…and boy was I happy I did! This beer pours a jet-black color with minimal amber lace around the glass. The smell is a subdued bourbon character. I remember having this beer fresh, and it is even more mellow with a year on it, blowing away the 2014 vintage. The mouth-feel and taste on this is just amazing. Its super fudgey, with bourbon notes on it that are just mind-blowing how balanced it is. It has that molasses on the nose, similar to Kuhnhenn Solstice stout. I also get some vanilla and marshmallow. Just brilliant, I can only hope 2015 can taste like this (97/100).
